On the occasion of the opening of the new factory of the Austrian company "Hirschmann Automotive" in the city of Oujda, on Thursday, October 30, the President of Mohammed I University in Oujda, Yassin Zaghloul, signed an agreement with the Director of the Industrial Unit of the company in Oujda, Abrouch Younes, whose objectives revolve around the exchange of experiences in the scientific field, training, and innovation, and giving priority to university students and the company's employees and workers.
Under this agreement, visits will be organized for students to enable them to discover the professional world, work environments, and career paths related to the automotive, logistics, and quality sectors. Mohammed I University in Oujda and Hirschmann Automotive are also committed to implementing joint activities to exchange best practices in the market and industry, and to assist new graduates in obtaining their first jobs. Mohammed I University also undertakes to provide training by specialized professors in the fields requested by Hirschmann Automotive; The agreement also stipulated requesting permission from the company for its employees to participate in educational activities related to their business activities; These activities may take different forms depending on the needs of the two parties: presentations, case studies, practical exercises, and certificates of appreciation. As well as benefiting from the university's services. The company also offers the opportunity to support various competitions or events, which will be formalized in an annex to the current agreement. In return, Hirschmann Automotive (University of Oklahoma) is committed to announcing job and training opportunities and giving the utmost attention to female and male students and graduates of Mohammed I University in Oujda. And appointing one or more volunteer speakers to participate in educational activities (teaching, case studies, certificates of appreciation); While providing the opportunity for students of Mohammed I University to complete practical training in various locations of Hirschmann Automotive.
Under the agreement, practical training will also be organized within the various departments of the University of Oujda, with the aim of applying the knowledge gained from training in a professional environment. While providing free services (transport, insurance) for trainees of Mohammed I University. – Participation in the events of the University of Oujda, in the event of the presence of its managers and executives, in forums, conferences and discussions on specific or intersecting topics, and other various events. – Studying opportunities for training or vocational apprenticeship for people with disabilities.
With regard to continuing education programs, Hirschmann Automotive will receive a discount on continuing education fees for its employees in the institutions affiliated with the university, including the faculties, ENSA, EST and ENCG universities and other partner universities, based on the number of available seats. According to the spirit of the agreement, Hirschmann Automotive and Mohammed I University will cooperate to establish a program or a specialized branch in the automotive industry within the university. This branch will focus on careers in the automotive sector and will take into account the specific needs of the sector. Managers and engineers from Hirschmann Automotive will actively participate in leading this program, by contributing to courses and seminars and providing their expertise in areas related to the automotive sector. Practical study programs will also be developed within this program, allowing students to gain practical experience by working in the company during their academic studies.
