HIBAPRESS – Rabat
Khadija Zoumi, the parliamentary deputy for the Istiqlal party, affirmed in her comments to Abdellah Bouanou within the Finance and Economic Development Committee in the House of Representatives, that the only solution to the pension funds crisis lies primarily in employment.
Zoumi addressed Bouanou, saying: "You are the ones who brought this raising of the age of employees, the solution is to employ people to solve this pension problem," stressing that strengthening employment is the effective way to address the deficit in pension funds and ensure their sustainability. She added that policies that rely only on raising the retirement age or reducing privileges will not be sufficient to solve the crisis, stressing the need for a comprehensive employment strategy that includes vital sectors and young job seekers. Zoumi considered that investing in human resources and expanding the base of employees and workers is the way to ensure the stability of pension funds, confirming that addressing the problem requires practical and direct measures, not just formal adjustments in age or rights.
