The Minister of Health, Amin Tahraoui, confirmed during a meeting on the first channel on Wednesday, November 5th, that administrative reform and the generalization of digitization in university hospitals have become an urgent necessity to improve the quality of health services and facilitate the patient's path.
The Minister explained that the new hospitals will adopt a unified information system that includes patient registration, treatment follow-up, and the dispensing of medications quickly and accurately, pointing out that this system will help reduce medical errors and speed up procedures. Tahraoui added that the creation of a unified electronic medical record will enable the exchange of information between different health institutions easily and securely, contributing to improving the quality of diagnosis and treatment and reducing patient waiting times. The Minister stressed that digitization is not only aimed at facilitating administrative procedures, but also at enhancing transparency and efficiency at all levels, from administration to providing direct medical services, ensuring a better experience for citizens. He affirmed that the ministry will begin implementing this project gradually starting in 2026, in a step that reflects the government's commitment to developing health services according to the highest international standards.
