The Minister of Health, Amin Tahraoui, announced during an interview on the first channel, a draft decree aimed at reducing drug prices, in a move aimed at enhancing pharmaceutical justice and reducing the cost of treatment for citizens. The Minister affirmed that the project seeks to ensure the sustainability of the health system and provide medicines at affordable prices for all Moroccans.
Amin Tahraoui explained that the review of drug prices will be conducted periodically every three years to ensure their compatibility with changes in the local and global markets. He added that the Ministry has involved all relevant parties, including producers and pharmacists, to ensure a balance of interests without harming any party, while maintaining the stability of the drug market and achieving a balance between the rights of citizens and the economic interests of the pharmaceutical sector. The Minister pointed out that these measures come within a comprehensive strategy aimed at enhancing pharmaceutical justice and improving citizens' access to medicines, which consolidates citizens' confidence in the health system and ensures the quality of medical services.
