The Criminal Chamber of First Instance at the Court of Appeal of Casablanca handed down heavy sentences against those involved in the “health market network” affair, a scandal which shook public opinion in due to the involvement of senior officials of the Ministry of Health and several of its contractors in suspicious contracts linked to the construction and equipment of hospitals.
27 defendants accused of rigging contracts at the Ministry of Public Health, including one defendant in absentia

– Eight (08) years of imprisonment and a fine of 800,000.00 Dh.

-Four (04) years of imprisonment and a fine of 5000.00 dirhams.

-Four (04) years of imprisonment and a fine of 150,000.00 dirhams.

-Three (03) years of imprisonment and a fine of 100,000.00 dirhams.

-Three (03) years of imprisonment and a fine of 100,000.00 dirhams.

-Four (04) years of imprisonment and a fine of 150,000.00 dirhams.
