HIBAPRESS celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Green March on Thursday, November 6th in Casablanca, by organizing a distinguished scientific meeting attended by a number of actors in the medical field.
The participants, during the opening session, which was attended by Dr. Moulay Said Afif, the president of the association, Professor Khalid Sayer, the honorary president, and Professor Ibrahim Lakhal, the president of the event, along with prominent medical figures, expressed their pride and appreciation for the passage of half a century since this glorious national event, stressing that the spirit of the Green March is still alive in the conscience of Moroccans, and embodies the strong cohesion between the throne and the people under the wise leadership of King Mohammed VI. The meeting began with a film showing the details of the march with a collective performance of the national anthem, followed by a series of interventions that revolved around the details of the scientific program for this day, which is organized every year in commemoration of the spirit of the late Professor Mohamed Dahkisi, who lost his life while performing his professional duty during the Covid-19 pandemic, where the importance of the selected axes related to school health and a major axis related to kidney transplantation in Morocco was emphasized. The event was held under the patronage of the Ministries of Health, Higher Education, National Education, and the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health, and in partnership with specialized medical associations, including the Moroccan Association of Nephrology, the Moroccan Association of Urology, and the Moroccan Association of Orthopedics and Joints. The works of the meeting focused on a range of scientific topics such as the relationship between doctor and patient, vaccination, organ transplantation, and seasonal influenza. The workshops witnessed a great interaction from the participants, whether in person or remotely, in an atmosphere marked by the spirit of unity, science and teamwork, and concluded with the issuance of a set of recommendations that will be announced later.
