The Oued Souss oil factories company has denied rumors questioning the quality of the olive oil it produces, considering that it has been subjected, for some time, to a "systematic campaign" on social media, including "false information that has nothing to do with the truth and aims to harm the company's reputation and the trust of its customers."
The company's management confirmed in the statement, a copy of which was received by the "HIBAPRESS" website, that what is being circulated regarding the quality of the olive oil it produces is unfounded, pointing out that all its production operations are subject to careful and regular monitoring that ensures the conformity of its products with the highest standards of quality and food safety adopted nationally and internationally. The statement added that the company's products were subjected to monitoring by the Belgian Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (AFSCA), which confirmed in a report issued in 2024 that technical analyses were carried out on a sample whose source is recognized, and no observations were recorded regarding the safety or quality of the product, which, according to it, refutes the claims circulating about the expiration of the oil or its causing any health damage. The company stressed that all Oued Souss oil containers comply with quality conditions and have a serial number that allows tracking of the production path and expiration date, which ensures complete transparency towards consumers and regulatory bodies. The statement confirmed that the company, which has accumulated more than seventy years of experience in the Moroccan market, is considered one of the most prominent players in the oil sector thanks to the quality of its products and its credibility, highlighting that Oued Souss oil is 100% authentic Moroccan oil, subject to strict monitoring from the moment of production until marketing. The company concluded its statement by affirming its right to legal action against anyone who promotes false claims that affect its reputation or commercial interests, calling on consumers to be wary of the false news being circulated on digital platforms.
