HIBAPRESS – Taroudant
The Royal Gendarmerie elements of the Taroudant brigade managed to arrest one of the most dangerous drug dealers in the Bouaassida region, near Ouled Teima, during a special operation carried out after a careful field follow-up of the suspect's movements.
The operation resulted in the seizure of significant quantities of drugs, estimated at about 20 bundles of kif, which were hidden inside a forest belonging to the municipality of Ahl Arraml in the Taroudant region in an attempt to keep them away from the eyes of the authorities. The operation also led to the seizure of a motorcycle suspected of being used in promotion operations, in addition to white weapons usually used to protect drug smuggling routes. The detainee was placed under custodial measures at the disposal of the investigation supervised by the competent Public Prosecution, while investigations continue to track down the other potential perpetrators of this criminal activity. This operation falls within the ongoing efforts of the Royal Gendarmerie in the Taroudant region to combat drug trafficking networks and enhance public security and protect citizens.
