Elements of the police in the Marrakech security directorate, in coordination with the services of the General Directorate for the Monitoring of National Territory, managed, on the evening of last Sunday, November 16th, to arrest three people suspected of involvement in a case related to the possession and promotion of drugs and psychotropic substances.
The suspects were arrested in the city of Marrakech, while they were in the act of possessing and promoting drugs. The seizure and search operation resulted in the discovery of 6567 drug tablets in their possession, including 6465 medical drug tablets of the Rivotril type, and 102 hallucinogenic tablets of the ecstasy type. The search operation also enabled the seizure of 30 grams of cocaine, a light car, and a motorcycle, which are suspected of being used to facilitate this criminal activity, as well as an amount of money amounting to 211,400 dirhams from the proceeds of committing these criminal acts. The suspects have been subjected to custody under the supervision of the judicial investigation, which is being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, in order to determine the remaining possible extensions of this criminal activity, and to reveal all the criminal acts attributed to those concerned.
