HIBAPRESS – A. Muhyawi
Ifrane, the Moroccan snow capital, has returned to shimmer in its white winter attire after snow covered its heights overnight Saturday night and Sunday, in a scene that brought to mind the enchanting tourist images that characterize the city every year.
The high areas witnessed significant snowfall, making the streets, houses, and forests appear like a stunning natural painting, attracting visitors from different cities to enjoy the atmosphere of cold and winter beauty. In parallel, the residents and social media activists launched a beautiful hashtag to express their joy at the return of the snow, and to document special moments from the heart of the white nature. Citizens circulated photos and videos showing children playing with snowballs, and tourists taking pictures among the trees covered in winter attire. The local and regional authorities, in turn, confirmed their readiness to deal with weather conditions, by mobilizing equipment teams and opening roads to traffic, to ensure the safety of residents and visitors. The governor of the region is closely monitoring the situation. Snowfall in this way is a valuable opportunity to revitalize domestic tourism, especially on the weekend, as tourism bodies expect a noticeable increase in the percentage of bookings in hotels and tourist accommodations. Thus, Ifrane regains its usual winter charm, and continues to draw an exceptional painting that combines the beauty of nature and human interaction, in a season that Moroccans await with passion every year.
