HIBAPRESS
On the occasion of the first edition of the Agro Export Day 2025 event, the Cosumar group received the Best Exporter Award for 2024, which was received by the group's general manager, Imad Ghmad, in recognition of the group's performance in international markets.
Cosumar extended its sincere thanks in a statement to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and to Minister Ryad Mezzour, and to the National Federation of Food Industries (FENAGRI) and its president, Abdelmounaim El Alj, for organizing this event and for this award, which reflects the group's efforts in developing export activity. The group indicated in the same statement that since the beginning of exports in 2013, Cosumar has adopted a model based on quality, respect for international standards, and operational efficiency, supported by an industrial capacity of 2.5 million tons. During more than ten years, the group's cumulative exports reached approximately 6 million tons to more than 90 international markets, outside the support system, which reflects the strength of its industrial, logistical, and commercial system. In 2024, the group exported 653 thousand tons to more than 50 countries. It added that this award also reflects Moroccan expertise within the sugar chain, and enhances the position of the "Made in Morocco" brand, which is associated with the quality of national industry, the regularity of supply, and compliance with food safety tracking standards. It continued that "within the framework of this dynamic, Cosumar has set a strategic goal of reaching one million tons exported annually starting from 2026, by strengthening its industrial and logistical capabilities and opening new markets." It emphasized at the end that the group affirms its commitment to ensuring the supply of sugar to the national market and contributing sustainably to the presence of "Made in Morocco" on the global agricultural food industries scene.
