HIBAPRESS – A. Mahyawi
As part of the national strategy to combat crime and enhance the sense of security, the Royal Gendarmerie in Azrou and its counterpart in Ifrane continue to implement a series of proactive operations aimed at combating livestock theft, which is one of the most prominent security challenges in rural areas.
These operations are carried out under the supervision of the commanders of the two detachments, with a number of mobile and fixed patrols being deployed around the clock, in addition to organizing awareness campaigns for livestock breeders, whether inside the stables or in the pastures located in the forests of the Ifrane province. These measures also include strengthening surveillance on the outskirts of judicial dams and crossing points, with the aim of thwarting any attempt to transport or smuggle stolen livestock.
These field efforts have resulted in the recovery of a significant number of sheep and goats and their return to their owners, which has left great satisfaction among the local population, especially livestock breeders who have valued the effectiveness of the security approach and the speed of interventions.
This security dynamic confirms the Royal Gendarmerie's commitment to addressing livestock theft and other forms of crime, by continuing proactive work, strengthening the presence of patrols, and developing security vigilance mechanisms to protect the property of citizens in various areas of the province.
