HIBAPRESS – Rabat
In a new step that confirms the dynamism of public schools in the Tiznit region, the Regional Directorate of National Education won first place this week in the regional encouragement award category for the Souss-Massa Academy, during the sixth edition of the "Teacher of the Year" award for the 2023-2024 academic year.
The award ceremony was attended by the Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Mohamed Barada, and a joint initiative between the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Promotion of Social Works for Education and Training, the Al-Zahid Foundation, and the Association of Friends of Public Schools, in a national celebration that highlights the values of innovation and modern pedagogy within the Kingdom's schools. This achievement came as a result of the brilliance of Professor Hicham Al-Tabbaa, from the 20 August school complex in the Anzi district, thanks to his distinguished educational project "Origami and Mathematics", through which he succeeded in simplifying mathematical concepts by employing the art of paper folding, presenting an educational model that combines creativity and scientific skill. The project received praise from the judging committee for its innovative solutions that enhance active learning and open up new horizons for learners in rural areas. This victory represents a qualitative addition to the educational system in the Souss-Massa region, and proof of the great efforts made by the educational frameworks in Tiznit to improve the educational process, and to consolidate the spirit of diligence and innovation within the classrooms, reflecting a positive image of public education in the region.
