The Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Madrid (Spain) organized on November 22, 2025, a mobile consulate in the city of "Ciudad Real," located 210 kilometers south of Madrid, during which several consular services were provided to members of the Moroccan community residing in the region, which is known for the presence of a large number of Moroccans, as the "Castilla-La Mancha" region, to which the "Ciudad Real" region belongs, is the fifth region in Spain in terms of the population density of Moroccan immigrants, with about more than 40,000 people legally and officially residing there.
This mobile consulate, the second of its kind in this city since 2023, was an opportunity to enable members of the Moroccan community residing in this region to benefit from several consular services, thus sparing them the inconvenience and expenses of traveling to the Spanish capital.
This mobile consulate comes within the framework of the proximity policy pursued by the Moroccan Consulate in Madrid for the benefit of the Moroccan community, in line with the high instructions of King Mohammed VI, and the directives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Residing Abroad.
The process, during which official documents such as passports, national identity cards were delivered and completed, signatures were corrected, and legal and judicial consultations were provided, received widespread welcome and praise from all members of the Moroccan community who expressed their overwhelming happiness and great appreciation for this initiative, which spared them the trouble of traveling to Madrid and benefiting from these various consular services, at this time that coincides with the approach of the end-of-year holiday, which is characterized by the desire of a large number of Moroccans to spend this holiday in their homeland.
Given the success of this operation and the positive repercussions it has left, this General Consulate is currently working, within the framework of its annual action plan, to program new mobile consulates in other areas in the near future in an effort to dedicate the service of the Moroccan community in their places of presence, as well as to dedicate one of the weekend days to organize open door events within the General Consulate in Madrid.
This mobile consulate was also an opportunity for the Consul General, "Kamal Arifi", to meet with a group of local economic actors accompanied by representatives of the Moroccan associative fabric in this region, where the meeting was an opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss mechanisms to enhance bilateral and decentralized cooperation, especially in the field of alternative energies and green hydrogen.
During this meeting, the Consul General, "Kamal Arifi," reviewed the major projects that the Kingdom is witnessing, as well as the various national programs aimed at strengthening and encouraging foreign investments, especially those directed to members of the Moroccan community, in accordance with the directives of King Mohammed VI.
