The match took place on the grounds of the El Arabi Zaouli stadium in Casablanca amid a distinguished audience that provided great support to the Moroccan team. Wydad appeared from the first minutes with a clear determination to settle the match early and control the course of the game. Wydad players were able to impose their style thanks to good distribution and high pressure, which allowed them to build continuous attacks that confused the defense of the Kenyan team and made the Red team score three goals signed by Bouchta, Bouchouari, and Rayhi. With this victory, Wydad achieved an ideal start in the CAF Confederation Cup competitions, topping the standings of its group since the first round.
