Journalist Hamid Saadani announced on Tuesday that he has frozen his membership in the temporary committee in charge of managing the affairs of the press and publishing sector, against the backdrop of the Ethics Committee leaks scandal.
Saadani said in a post published on his Facebook account: "Following the publication of video excerpts from the recording of the disciplinary session related to the file of colleague Hamid El Mahdaoui; and pending knowledge of the outcome of this case, I have decided to freeze my membership in the temporary committee for managing the press and publishing sector."
Journalist Hamid El Mahdaoui had published leaked video clips of a meeting of the Press Ethics Committee affiliated with the temporary committee managing the sector's affairs, which included what was described as "verbal abuse" and "moral slippage."
