The anti-gang squad of the judicial police department in the Laayoune security directorate managed, on Monday, November 24th, in a short period, to arrest a person aged 22, suspected of involvement in a case related to assault and battery with a sharp weapon and theft with public drunkenness.
The duty department had observed last Sunday night in the emergency room a person injured in the head as a result of being pelted with stones by the arrested person, followed by the theft of his mobile phone, at a time when he was with other people at Jamal Eddine Al-Afghani Street. As a result of the investigations and investigations carried out by the anti-gang squad, and using recordings from surveillance cameras installed on the streets of the city, the main suspect was identified and arrested.
The detainee has been placed under custody pending the investigation supervised by the competent public prosecutor's office, while investigations and investigations are continuing in order to arrest the rest of the suspects.
The incident was reported by some local media outlets that the victim had died as a result of this assault, and to enlighten public opinion, the latter left the emergency room immediately after receiving the necessary treatment.
