HIBAPRESS
The Qafila Assalam Association for Transport and Logistics Professionals has withdrawn the complaint it had filed against the well-known streamer Ilyas Malki, which led to his detention under police custody in El Jadida for three days.
The association had accused Malki of insult, defamation, and slander through electronic media, during a live broadcast that included phrases the association considered offensive.
The security authorities opened a judicial investigation into the matter under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution.
The Public Prosecution extended the period of police custody for Malki for an additional 24 hours to complete the investigations, before the judicial authorities received the withdrawal of the complaint from the plaintiff association, after mediation efforts and actions carried out by the streamer's family and a number of his friends and followers.
