HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
Professionals in car rental agencies are preparing to hold a warning protest on Thursday in front of a loan company's headquarters in Casablanca, at the intersection of Zerktouni and Bourkoun streets, following a call from the executive office of the Union of Road Transport.
This protest move, according to information released by the union, comes in light of what it described as continued financial pressures weighing down professionals, in addition to a set of measures that it says exacerbate the economic situation for a number of companies operating in the car rental sector.
The union considers that the difficulties faced by agency owners have become real challenges regarding the ability of a number of companies to continue their activities, given their financial obligations, and the accompanying concerns about the stability of the sector and the preservation of related jobs.
The protest is expected to be an occasion to express the professionals' demands and draw attention to the constraints that they say threaten the continuity of a number of companies, pending the outcome of this step in terms of interaction with their demands and opening channels for dialogue on ways to address the existing difficulties.
