The Government Council approved, on Thursday, the draft decree No. 2.25.761 amending and supplementing decree No. 2.11.89 issued on the 15th of Shawwal 1432 (September 14, 2011) regarding the reorganization of the Higher Institute of Information and Communication, presented by the Secretary of State to the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Businesses, Employment and Skills, in charge of Employment, on behalf of the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication.
A statement from the Ministry Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, the official spokesman for the government, clarified that the draft decree aims to amend and supplement the aforementioned decree No. 2.11.89, in order to adapt it to the developments of decree No. 2.23.668 issued on the 15th of Muharram 1445 (August 2, 2023) amending and supplementing decree No. 2.04.89 issued on the 18th of Rabi' al-Thani 1425 (June 7, 2004) determining the competencies of university institutions, higher education programs, and the corresponding national certificates. The same source added that this project includes provisions concerning the review of the names and model of the certificates issued by the Institute (Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate) and the accumulation of acquired units in training according to the standard credits allocated to them, with each national certificate being accompanied by an annex called "Certificate", which includes, in particular, detailed information on the student's university training, including pedagogical, scientific, artistic and sports activities and other parallel activities, in addition to stipulating the review of the names and descriptions of the "national scientific pedagogical control notebooks" related to the aforementioned study programs.
