HIBAPRESS – Rabat
The Justice and Development Party praised the contents of the message sent by King Mohammed VI to the Chairman of the UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
The General Secretariat of the Justice and Development Party stated in a statement that the King, through the message, affirmed Morocco's firm and steadfast commitment to defending the Palestinian cause, its unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people, and its keenness to encourage Palestinian reconciliation efforts. The message also included an affirmation of the King's, in his capacity as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, "relentless efforts to preserve the authentic civilizational character of Al-Quds Al-Sharif, to maintain its legal status, and to defend the sanctity of its Islamic and Christian holy sites," as well as his confirmation that "it is not possible to talk about a just and sustainable solution to the Palestinian issue without a serious and responsible addressing of the issue of Al-Quds Al-Sharif, given the strong symbolism and high sensitivity that the holy city represents." In a context related to the Palestinian cause, the General Secretariat of "PJD" renewed its strong condemnation of "the ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza by the criminal Zionist entity, its repeated violations of the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Al-Quds Al-Sharif, and its brutal attacks on the sovereignty of Lebanon and Syria." The General Secretariat of the Misbah strongly condemned "the escalating criminal military operations launched by the Zionist occupation army in the West Bank to expand settlements and displacement, and its continuation of the crimes of genocide and field execution of civilians, the last of which was the execution of two unarmed youths by gunfire in Jenin after their capture and in the sight and hearing of the world, all of this in the shadow of a blatant complicity and the silence of most Western governments on the continuous Israeli crimes, and an unprecedented inability of the Arab and Islamic countries."
