The Royal Gendarmerie in Ait Ourir, Al Haouz, after security coordination with the police services of the Marrakech Security Directorate on Monday, managed to arrest a second accomplice in a "red mercury" scam network targeting a Marrakech businessman for the sum of one billion centimes.
The gang leader was previously arrested last week, after a security ambush in a cafe on Allal Al Fassi Street in Marrakech. This individual is known as "Hassan.G", 48 years old, and a resident of the city of Salé. The suspect named "Said" was arrested at his home in the municipality of Ait Ourir in Al Haouz province after his location was determined using modern techniques. The arrest report of the suspect was prepared at the Royal Gendarmerie headquarters in Ait Ourir before being handed over to the Provincial Judicial Police Department of the Marrakech Security Directorate in order to deepen the investigation with him regarding the accusations against him.
