The Royal Gendarmerie services in Azrou, in a quality operation, thwarted an attempt to steal a flock of livestock in the Adarouch area on the outskirts of the Akoraï villages, within the framework of continuous field efforts to combat crime of all kinds, especially the phenomenon of livestock theft known locally as "Al-Faraqshia". The operation was carried out under the supervision of the commander of the brigade, "Al-Rami Reda", who works in silence with his integrated team.
The details of the incident go back to the Royal Gendarmerie services receiving a direct complaint from a sheep breeder in the area, in which he stated that approximately 60 heads of his flock had been stolen. Following that, a Royal Gendarmerie patrol moved urgently towards the scene, before starting extensive combing operations that included the surroundings of the incident and the adjacent rough paths, while adopting precise techniques in tracking the threads and collecting data. This advanced investigation enabled the identification of one of the perpetrators involved in the operation, to launch a field pursuit operation that resulted in the recovery of an important part of the stolen sheep after they were found being led by one of the accused who fled. The rest of the flock was also found inside a stable on a farm where the perpetrator worked for a "quarter". By instructions from the competent Public Prosecution at the Meknes Court, the entire flock was returned to its owner, while the Regional Command of the Royal Gendarmerie in Meknes, in coordination with the Azrou brigade and the Meknes Court of Appeal, continues its efforts to dismantle the rest of the elements of the criminal gang, arrest all those involved, and bring them to justice.
