HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has circulated today's Friday sermon to various preachers and imams in the Kingdom's mosques, which was chosen to address the issue of raising awareness of the dangers of violence against women, and it came as follows:
The First Sermon
Praise be to Allah, who created man in the best stature to demonstrate His power, and made from him the two spouses, male and female, to implement His wisdom. We praise Him, may He be exalted, for His great blessings and His great favors, and we bear witness that there is no god but Allah, the One, the Individual, the Eternal, independent of companions and offspring, and we bear witness that our master Muhammad is His servant and messenger, whom He sent with guidance and the religion of truth to make it prevail over all religions. May Allah bless and grant him peace, a complete blessing and peace with the completion of His kingdom, and upon his good and pure family, and upon his righteous companions, the good ones, and upon those who followed them with good deeds in all actions and words.
As for what follows; O community of believers, the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said:
“The best of you is the best to his family, and I am the best of you to my family”[1].
In this noble prophetic hadith, there is a clear direction from the Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, to follow him in good treatment with the family; Therefore, he emphasized by saying, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, "And I am the best of you to my family," because he, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, is the place of example and example for all believing men and women.
Servants of Allah; The wisdom of Allah, may He be exalted, has willed to make responsibility shared between men and women in establishing life within the framework of the family, which entails a good life, then the responsibility of upbringing and education, and performing private and public affairs. He has assigned to each of them functions to perform their mission in life, and established the relationship between them on the basis of tranquility, love, and mercy, and commanded them to treat each other with kindness and mutual respect in all circumstances, taking into account the privacy of each of them.
The Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, has explained that true goodness lies in treating the family well, by virtue of the permanent shared life that requires beautiful patience, acknowledging grace, and overlooking the mistakes and shortcomings that no human being is free from.
And in the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, we have a good example; He is the ideal husband, complete in character, from whom one draws example and guidance. If the "plan to provide guidance" is concerned with achieving a good life for people, then the royal message calls on people to study the biography and Sunnah of the Prophet to emulate, as one of the most important places that need care and emulation, and it is from the essence of righteous work that requires a good life, the marital relationship in particular, and the relationship between men and women in general, as it should be based on generosity; That is, bringing to mind the divine honor for every human being, male or female, and dealing with him on this basis, and Allah, may He be exalted, has made it obligatory on His servants to have mercy and kindness to His servants, and has forbidden injustice and aggression against them.
And it is sufficient in warning against violence against anyone, and against women in particular, what came in the sacred hadith:
“O My servants, I have forbidden injustice to myself and made it forbidden among you, so do not oppress each other”[2].
In it, there is a statement of the danger of injustice and aggression against people, and that injustice is not one of the attributes of Allah, may He be exalted, and that He, may He be glorified, does not love those who are characterized by it in all circumstances. It is not permissible for a believer to be a source of evil and violence against his wife for any reason, nor is it permissible for a woman to practice any type of violence or arbitrariness against her husband in any way.
For this reason, many hadiths have been narrated recommending the observance of religion and piety in dealing, companionship, and marriage, and warning against their opposites, including the saying of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace:
“If someone whose religion and character you approve of proposes to you, then marry him, or else there will be fitna in the land and widespread corruption”[3].
The fitna that this noble prophetic hadith warns against is: what is issued by those who have no religion or character of unacceptable behaviors, the most dangerous of which are violence and stinginess of all kinds.
And from Al-Hasan al-Basri, may Allah have mercy on him, a man asked him: Whom should he marry his daughter to? He said:
"Marry her to a man who fears Allah, for if he loves her, he will honor her, and if he hates her, he will not wrong her"[4].
Servants of Allah; The best thing that a servant can do to draw near to Allah, may He be exalted, after the obligatory duties is to treat people well, and the closest people to that are his family, who seek refuge in them and seek refuge in you, and you ask about them on the Day of Resurrection and they ask about you, so let the character of mercy and compassion be a permanent attribute of the believer; To be happy and to make others happy, male or female.
May Allah benefit me and you with His clear Qur'an and with the hadith of the master of the first and the last, and our last prayer is that praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
The Second Sermon
Praise be to Allah as He deserves, and prayers and peace be upon His Prophet and servant, our master Muhammad, and upon his family and companions.
Servants of Allah; The concept of violence is a general concept that can be divided into many types, including:
Physical violence such as beating, and this is not appropriate for anyone in whose heart is the weight of an atom of faith, but of humanity. Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said: "The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, never beat a woman, nor a servant, nor anyone else"[5].
Verbal violence such as insults, insults, slander, and insults, and this is not from the morals of the believer, male or female, as he, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: “Insulting a Muslim is a transgression, and fighting him is disbelief”[6], meaning disbelief and denial of Allah’s blessings upon him.
Spying violence; Which is the most dangerous in the age of phones and cameras, as one of the spouses spies on the other in these means, which sows doubt and suspicion between them, so that each of them delves into revealing the secret of the other, and other dangerous matters that threaten the whole family, based on bad suspicions, and illusions that Satan casts into the hearts of the servants in order to corrupt the relationships between them.
Servants of Allah; It is better for the believer, male or female, that each of them be sound of heart from the diseases of the hearts, sound of tongue from the symptoms of the people, sound of hand from their rights, especially those who associate with and live with, from mother, wife, daughter, sister, and every female he deals with on the basis of mutual respect, and contemplate the saying of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: “Be kind to women”[7].
This, and the best thing with which we conclude the speech, and make it the musk of the conclusion, the best of prayers and the purest of peace, on the Prophet, the compassionate and merciful, the one who is keen on the believers, our master Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. O Allah, bless and grant peace to Your servant and Prophet and the chosen one, our master Muhammad, the number of Your creation, the pleasure of Yourself, the weight of Your Throne, and the ink of Your words.
And may Allah be pleased with our masters, the four righteous Caliphs; Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali, and with the rest of the Companions from the Muhajirin and the Ansar, and with the followers and us with their pure grace and generosity, O Lord of the worlds.
And support, O Allah, with Your manifest victory, and Your firm support, those whose hand you have extended in Your land and countries, our master, the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI. O Allah, protect him with the seven oft-repeated verses and the great Qur’an, and grant him, O Allah, complete health and beautiful well-being, and gladden the eyes of His Majesty with his beloved Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay El Hassan, and strengthen his support with his happy brother, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, and with the rest of the members of the royal family. Verily, You are the Hearing, the Answerer.
And may Allah’s mercy and great generosity cover the two royal Majesties, our master Muhammad V, and our master Hassan II. O Allah, make their soil good, and honor their abode in the highest of heights.
O Allah, have mercy on us and on our parents, and have mercy on our dead and the dead of the Muslims, and heal our sick and the sick of the Muslims, and protect our afflicted and the afflicted of the Muslims.
O Allah, give us rain and do not make us of those who despair. O Allah, give rain to Your servants and Your animals, and spread Your mercy and revive Your dead land.
Our Lord, give us in this world good and in the Hereafter good, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.
Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Glory, from what they describe, and peace be upon the messengers, and praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
