HIBAPRESS – Art
The Amazigh artist and poet Fatema Chahou Tabeamrant released her new song "Attbir Ljant" ("The Dove of Paradise"), which transcends the boundaries of the traditional song to become a sung autobiography in the voice of its owner, as its duration extends to more than 15 minutes.
Tabeamrant opens the work by evoking the pain of losing her mother at the age of three, an experience that formed the cornerstone of her personality, strength, and sensitivity. Then she reveals life stations that have not been announced before, including family conflicts related to her father and his second wife, and childhood experiences that carried the search for recognition and belonging.
The emotional dimension is not absent, as she evokes the story of her first love that ended with the loss of her beloved before marriage, confirming the impact of this experience on her artistic and human path. In contrast, the song highlights the pivotal role of her grandmother in her upbringing after her mother's death, presenting her with a message of gratitude and loyalty, while the presence of the late mother continues in the text of the song through poetic metaphors that reflect deep spiritual bonds.
"Attbir Ljant" is not just a song, but an artistic text that redraws Tabeamrant's path from wound to strength, and from loss to creativity, confirming her position as an artistic voice and a living memory for the Amazigh community.
The media personality Aisha Adalao described the work as an important turning point in Tabeamrant's career, because of its boldness and human honesty that allows the listener a rare opportunity to immerse themselves in a story told for the first time from the soul of its owner.
