HIBAPRESS – Al Hoceima
The city of Al Hoceima hosted, on the morning of Saturday, December 6, 2025, the sixth session of the National Council of the Popular Movement Party, in an organizational event supervised by the Secretary-General of the party, Mohamed Ouzzine, with the significant presence of members of the Political Bureau such as Halima El Assali, M'Hammed El Anser, and the National Council members from different regions of the Kingdom.
The opening session was held at the “Mira Palace” hall under the slogan: “The Loyalty Session from the Rif to the Sahara,” in confirmation, according to the party's leaders, of the continued commitment to the territorial unity of the Kingdom and the strengthening of territorial extension from the north of the country to the south.
This session comes in a political and organizational context characterized by rapid dynamism at the national level, where the party is betting on this event to renew bridges of communication between its various structures, evaluate the work done during the previous stage, as well as discuss the challenges of the next stage and prepare for the upcoming national entitlements.
The session also holds special organizational importance, as it is an opportunity to readjust the paths of internal work and unify positions on the issues raised, and to consolidate the organizational readiness of the party.
The session opened with a welcoming speech by the presidency of the Council, followed by a speech by the parliamentarian, Adel Sebai, the chairman of the National Council, then a speech by the party chairman, Mohamed El Anser, before the Secretary-General, Mohamed Ouzzine, presented the political report, reviewing the party leadership's vision for the various current national and organizational files.
The agenda of the session also included a presentation of the draft criteria for selecting the party's candidates for legislative elections in accordance with the provisions of Article 14 of the basic system, a point considered pivotal in the context of early preparations for the upcoming entitlements.
The occasion saw Mohamed Ouzzine, during his speech at a parallel speech festival organized in the city of Al Hoceima, direct an appeal to King Mohammed VI, in which he requested the issuance of a royal pardon that would include a number of young Moroccans, including the Rif detainees and the "Z" generation, who found themselves in prisons on the background of social protests related to circumstances that he said "no longer exist today."
Ouzzine described Al Hoceima as "the land of steadfastness and a symbol of national unity," stressing that Morocco accommodates all opinions as long as they fall within the framework of national constants. He also explained that the request for pardon is based on the social lessons produced by the Rif protests, and on the reconciliation path launched by His Majesty the King since he ascended the throne, whether through the redress of the Amazigh identity through the Ajdir speech, or through the experience of the Equity and Reconciliation Commission.
The session witnessed the expanded participation of members of the National Council, who were allocated an important space for public discussion and the presentation of proposals, with the aim of developing conclusions that contribute to enhancing the organizational dynamism of the party and improving its political performance.
Also included was a tribute segment in recognition of the contributions of a number of activists of the Popular Movement who contributed to the struggle and organizational path of the party at the local and national levels.
