The Moroccan national team is preparing to face its Saudi Arabian counterpart in the final round of the group stage of the Arab Cup competition, aiming to qualify for the second round.
The two teams will meet tomorrow, Monday, on the grounds of the Lusail Stadium in the Qatari capital, Doha, starting at six o'clock in the evening, Moroccan time.
Tarek Sektioui, the coach of the Moroccan national team, confirmed in the conference held today, Sunday, that the "Atlas Lions" are seeking to win against Saudi Arabia in the third and final round of the group stage and book a ticket to the quarter-finals of the Arab Cup (Qatar 2025) at the top of Group B.
Sektioui said in the press conference, which precedes the match of the Atlas Lions against the Saudi Green, that the national team "will not enter the match in order to achieve a tie and win a single point, although a tie is enough for Morocco to qualify for the next round."
The Moroccan national team had started its participation in the Arab Cup by winning against Comoros with three goals to one, before faltering in the second match against Oman and settling for a draw.
