Mohamed Sadiqi, head of the network of university professors for the National Rally of Independents party, said today, Sunday in Rabat, that Morocco is experiencing a pivotal moment in the comprehensive development path led by King Mohammed VI, stressing the support of the party leader, Aziz Akhannouch, for the role played by the network in qualifying elites and preparing competencies to keep pace with this democratic stage.
He added in his speech during the national conference of the network, which is one of the parallel organizations of the "Dove" party, that its goal is to create an academic environment that assists the political dynamism witnessed by our country, highlighting that it works on cognitive, intellectual and territorial formation, as the network includes 524 members from all regions of Morocco and Moroccans around the world, discussing important issues and presenting their vision and contributing to connecting the university with its surroundings.
Sadiqi explained that this conference is being held in light of major international challenges, pointing out that the government has demonstrated a great ability to manage crises and keep pace with the circumstances with full commitment to implementing the government program.
The speaker stressed that the role of academics is not limited to teaching and scientific research, but goes beyond it to participate in the national political debate accompanying the democratic stage, stressing that constructive criticism is required, but falling into populist campaigns and intentional despair and populist rhetoric does not serve the interest of the nation.
The former minister affirmed the network's strong support for the government in all its components, and for the reform path led by Aziz Akhannouch, explaining that this comes in service of the citizen and the advancement of the democratic modern project of our country, which puts the human being at the heart of its priorities.
