The General Directorate of Meteorology expects, for Thursday, the passage of dense clouds accompanied by rain or showers that may be thundery at times over some areas of the northern and central Atlantic plains, the phosphate and Oulmes plateaus, the Rif, and the Atlas.
It is also expected that the weather will be partly cloudy in the southeast of the country, with the possibility of scattered rain at times starting from the afternoon, in addition to some snow falling over the peaks of the High and Middle Atlas mountains, which exceed 1900 meters in altitude. The weather will be relatively cold in the highlands, the southeast of the country, and the high plateaus, with frost during the morning and night, in addition to recording sometimes strong winds, on the northern and central coasts of the Atlantic Ocean and also in the western Rif. The minimum temperatures will range between minus 02 and 05 degrees in the Atlas Mountains, the Rif, the southeastern slopes, and the high plateaus, and between 09 and 16 degrees in the northern and central Atlantic plains, the phosphate and Oulmes plateaus, Rehamna, Souss, the desert regions, and the Mediterranean coast, and will be between 05 and 10 degrees in the rest of the Kingdom. As for the maximum temperatures, they will generally be decreasing. The sea will be calm to slightly turbulent on the Mediterranean front, slightly turbulent to rough in the Strait of Gibraltar, and rough to very rough between Cap Spartel and Tan-Tan, and slightly turbulent to rough in the rest of the coasts.
