As part of the proactive measures and routine operations undertaken by the Oriental Regional Multi-Service Company, a comprehensive and intensive campaign was organized to purify and maintain the liquid purification network (sewerage), in preparation for the rainy season.
One of the main objectives of the process is to reduce the risks of potential floods, ensure optimal flow of rainwater, and protect the health and environmental safety of the population of the Oriental region.
This process included a comprehensive purification of rainwater drains, in addition to removing sediments, sludge, and waste accumulated inside the channels. These are among the most prominent factors leading to network blockages during periods of heavy rainfall.
These interventions come within the company's strategy aimed at improving the quality of services related to liquid purification and raising the level of infrastructure readiness to face climate fluctuations.
In this context, the company emphasizes the great importance of the effective contribution of citizens in maintaining the cleanliness of public spaces, and refraining from throwing waste in sewage drains, to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of these vital networks.
