Tangier recorded, on Tuesday morning, December 16, 2025, the first traffic accident involving one of the new smart buses that were officially launched a few days ago, in a step aimed at modernizing the urban transport system and enhancing the quality of its services.
No human injuries were recorded, according to local sources, while the necessary measures were taken to address the accident and ensure the continuity of service normally. These smart buses come within the framework of the city's efforts to modernize public transport, as they have been equipped with the latest technologies, including a smart tracking system, digital payment methods, and comfortable seats, with the aim of providing a safer and more comfortable transport experience for citizens.
