HIBAPRESS – Abdellatif Elbaz
The Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Verona continues to consolidate its proactive approach to serving members of the Moroccan community residing in northern Italy, by supporting and strengthening initiatives aimed at improving their travel conditions and their permanent connection to their homeland.
In this context, the consulate announced the opening of a new air route connecting the city of Verona and the city of Casablanca, supervised by Royal Air Maroc, with the first flights starting from June 21, 2026, at a rate of three flights per week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This air route is the result of continuous coordination and diligent follow-up by the Consulate General, which has always expressed its concern about bringing services closer to the Moroccan community and advocating for the improvement of air connectivity with cities that have a significant Moroccan population. Observers believe that this step will contribute significantly to easing the burden of travel for members of the community and facilitating their travel to Morocco, especially during peak periods and family occasions, and will also strengthen human and economic ties between Morocco and Italy. This initiative confirms once again that the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Verona remains a model in consular work close to citizens, and the race to meet the expectations of the Moroccan community, through practical solutions and tangible initiatives with a direct impact.
