Moroccan drama continued to reap regional successes, after the television series "Rahma" managed to top the list of most-watched works in North Africa during the year 2025, according to a ranking published by the "Shahid" platform through its official accounts on social media.
"Rahma" surpassed a group of Arab dramatic productions, establishing its presence as one of the most prominent works that caught the attention of the public, and reflecting the size of the great interaction that accompanied its presentation, while at the same time confirming the increasing demand for Moroccan productions within digital platforms. The series was shown during the past Ramadan season on the "MBC 5" channel, where it presented a moving human story of a woman who found herself a prisoner of a marriage full of complexities and suffering, before embarking on an arduous journey to choose her destiny between the desire for revenge or the pursuit of a new beginning. The work is distinguished by a deep dramatic treatment of sensitive social issues, most notably the suffering of women and their struggle with reality, while highlighting their ability to overcome crises and rebuild themselves, which made it receive wide praise and record viewership rates within the region.
