Akdital Group, a leader in the private healthcare sector in Morocco, announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding aimed at acquiring 100 percent of the shares of "Al-Bashari" Hospital, located in the heart of Mecca, Saudi Arabia, pending the fulfillment of the required regulatory and operational conditions in the coming weeks.
"Al-Bashari" Hospital is an existing healthcare facility, characterized by a strategic location in the middle of Mecca, with a capacity of up to 120 beds, and offers multi-specialty medical services including, in particular, cardiology, interventional cardiac catheterization, and general surgery, in addition to an integrated intensive care unit and a radiology department equipped with the latest technologies. This acquisition comes within the framework of Akdital Group's regional expansion program in the Gulf region, especially in Saudi Arabia, where the group continues to strengthen its presence after its previous acquisition of Al-Meshari Hospital in Riyadh, in a move that reflects its ambition to contribute sustainably to the development of the healthcare sector in the Kingdom. Through this process, Akdital seeks to engage in the dynamism led by Saudi Arabia to modernize the health sector, by raising the standards of quality of medical services, developing the hospital offer, and supporting the modernization of health infrastructure, with full commitment to the applicable regulatory frameworks. This step constitutes a new phase in Akdital's gradual expansion at the international level, and confirms its desire for long-term integration within the regional health system, in line with its strategic vision based on proximity, quality, and sustainability.
