HIBAPRESS
Several regions in the Kingdom have witnessed significant snowfall in recent weeks, particularly affecting the mountain ranges, within the context of weather disturbances experienced in Morocco due to successive cold air masses.
According to data issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology, as shown on the updated map up to December 17, 2025, the total area covered by snow reached approximately 54,084 square kilometers.

This area mainly concerns the High Atlas and Middle Atlas mountains, in addition to the Rif mountain range, with a noticeable presence of snow in a number of provinces known for their high altitudes and topographic characteristics.
This situation reflects the severity of the climatic fluctuations that have characterized the recent period, and also confirms the strong impact of weather disturbances accompanied by a significant drop in temperatures, especially in mountainous areas.
In this context, the competent authorities emphasize the importance of following weather and warning bulletins issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology, especially for residents of mountainous areas and road users, to avoid the risks associated with snow accumulation and difficult travel.
