HIBAPRESS – Rabat
In a festive atmosphere reflecting the African and humanitarian dimension of Morocco, Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, along with Patrice Motsepe, President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), inaugurated the fan zone belonging to the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation in the city of Rabat this Saturday morning, coinciding with the start of the Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to officially open tomorrow, Sunday, at the Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
This zone is a special space primarily designated for students and graduates of cooperation programs overseen by Morocco, in a move aimed at strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between the Kingdom and other African countries, and consolidating the values of coexistence and cultural exchange within a unifying sporting framework. The fan zone provides a variety of festive atmospheres that combine watching Africa Cup of Nations matches with interactive and recreational activities, reflecting the spirit of the championship and its continental dimensions, and giving visitors a complete experience that combines sports and culture. This platform will be open to visitors daily, starting tomorrow, Sunday, until the last day of the Africa Cup of Nations, from eleven in the morning to eleven at night. The area also includes five integrated interactive spaces, carefully designed to meet the interests of various visitors, whether in terms of entertainment, introducing African cultures, or promoting interaction between fans. This project comes in the context of Morocco's keenness to make the organization of the Africa Cup of Nations a success, not only at the organizational and sporting level, but also at the cultural and humanitarian level, confirming its position as a bridge for communication and cooperation between the peoples of the African continent.
