The General Directorate of Meteorology expects, today, Thursday, that the weather will remain relatively cold or cold in the Atlas Mountains, the Rif, the southeast of the country, and the high plateaus.
Rain or showers are also expected over the Atlas Mountains and their western regions, the Rif, Sais, the Souss region, and the northern and central Atlantic Ocean plains.
Furthermore, more scattered rain is expected over the east of the country, the Tangier region, the phosphate and Walmas plateaus, the east of the Mediterranean facade, and the north of the desert provinces of the Kingdom.
Snow is also expected to fall over the peaks of the High and Middle Atlas Mountains, and locally in the Rif Mountains and the east of the country, with somewhat strong wind gusts locally in the central regions and in the north of the southern provinces.
Minimum temperatures will range between -06 and 01 degrees in the Atlas and Rif mountains, and between 01 and 06 degrees in the southeast of the country and the high plateaus, and between 12 and 17 degrees near the central coasts and the north of the southern provinces, and will be between 07 and 12 degrees in the rest of the Kingdom.
As for the temperatures during the day, they will rise in the Souss region, and will decrease or remain without significant change in the rest of the regions.
The sea will be calm to slightly choppy on the Mediterranean facade and the Strait of Gibraltar, and rough between Mehdia and Tarfaya, and slightly choppy to rough on the rest of the coasts.
