HIBAPRESS – Sports
National coach Walid Regragui confirmed that Achraf Hakimi continues his gradual recovery, indicating that his participation in the third match of the group stage remains highly probable, whether as a starter or as a substitute to gain match rhythm.
Regragui explained, during the press conference that followed the draw against Mali (1-1) for the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations, that Hakimi was prepared to play limited minutes, but the circumstances and high pace of the match pushed the technical staff not to take risks with him, while confirming his full readiness for the knockout stages. The Moroccan national team will conclude the group stage with a match against Zambia on next Monday, on the grounds of Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, starting at eight o'clock in the evening (GMT +1).
