HIBAPRESS – A. Mahyaoui
The Boumia district, in the province of Midelt, has been witnessing an intensive field mobilization since this Monday morning, led by the local vigilance committee headed by Ait Ouadir, with the aim of breaking the isolation of a number of villages belonging to the Tanourdi and Tizi N'ghchou communities, following the heavy snowfall that the region has experienced in recent days.
Significant logistical and human resources have been harnessed, including machinery for removing snow and opening vital road axes, under the direct instructions of the governor of Midelt province, who closely monitors developments in the field and personally supervises the coordination of interventions to ensure their effectiveness and speed of implementation. According to local data, the recorded precipitation was described as exceptional and unprecedented for more than twenty years, which led to a temporary interruption in traffic and difficulty in accessing some mountain villages, especially in light of the sharp drop in temperatures. These interventions fall within the framework of a proactive regional plan to confront the severe cold wave, which aims to ensure the safety of the population, ensure the continuity of basic services, and alleviate the effects of the harsh climatic conditions experienced by a number of mountainous areas in the province.
