HIBAPRESS – Sports
Tunisian and Algerian content creators have expressed clear admiration for the splendor of the infrastructure in Morocco during their attendance in Rabat to follow the African Cup of Nations matches, where a number of them shared video recordings documenting what their eyes witnessed of urban development and modern services.
They confirmed that what they experienced on the ground far exceeds the stereotype circulating in their media, and that Moroccan cities embrace sports facilities and infrastructure that meet the highest standards. These influencers published a series of video clips on social media platforms in which they praised the quality of the stadiums, the efficiency of transportation, and the organization of fan movement, pointing out that the field experience made them reconsider many of the perceptions that reached them through media channels in their countries. They considered that Morocco has presented a developed model in investing in infrastructure, which was reflected in the success of the continental event. In contrast, some content creators expressed their regret for what local media in Tunisia and Algeria convey of false or incomplete images about Morocco, stressing that these coverages do not reflect the truth they saw for themselves. They emphasized that direct communication and field observation reveal the size of the development that the Kingdom has reached, and highlight the gap between reality and a media discourse that tries to diminish the size of these transformations.
