HIBAPRESS – Rabat
Iraqi media personality Haider Abd al-Haq praised the level of organization witnessed by Moroccan stadiums during their hosting of football matches, considering that Morocco even surpassed the United States in managing matches during heavy rainfall, in a direct comparison with what he described as organizational difficulties experienced by the American Rose Bowl stadium.
This came in a post published by Abd al-Haq on his personal account on the "Facebook" website, accompanied by a video clip showing the impact of the rain on the Rose Bowl stadium, and the organizers' need to use manual tools such as "scrapers" to remove the water accumulated on the stadium's surface, in a scene that sparked wide interaction on social media. The Iraqi media personality explained that the Rose Bowl stadium, which hosts the final of the American universities' football, clearly suffers from the repercussions of the rainfall, despite being one of the stadiums that will host a number of matches of the 2026 World Cup. The speaker pointed out that this stadium had previously hosted the 1994 World Cup final, which saw Italian star Roberto Baggio miss the decisive penalty against Brazil, in one of the most famous moments in football history.
