The captain of the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo, is putting the final touches on his expected move to a luxurious palace worth £30 million, immediately after announcing his official retirement from football.
The new palace is located within a coastal resort about 30 miles from the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, where construction work was completed after more than 3 years of work, making it one of the largest and most expensive private homes in Portugal. It includes luxurious facilities including a large swimming pool and underground garages dedicated to housing his collection of cars, which is estimated to be worth around £12 million. According to the British newspaper The Mirror, the palace consists of 8 bedrooms, in addition to a huge glass swimming pool equipped with an underwater passage that allows guests to watch swimmers from below. The residence is also equipped with advanced systems for comfort and luxury, including smart heating, a gym, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a massage room and a private cinema. Ronaldo's family members benefit from additional facilities that include a playground for his five children and a private beach. The palace is distinguished by luxurious equipment such as pure gold faucets, Italian marble and a mural designed by Louis Vuitton. The same newspaper revealed that Ronaldo tried to acquire the golf course adjacent to the new property with the aim of enhancing the level of security and privacy, but his offer was not accepted by the owning party. This palace comes to be added to the series of real estate properties owned by the Portuguese star, including a luxurious building in Lisbon worth £6 million that offers a panoramic view of the capital. It includes 3 spacious suites, two swimming pools, one indoor and the other outdoor, a gym, a sauna and a cinema hall. Ronaldo also owns another property in his hometown of Madeira, where an abandoned warehouse was converted into a luxurious palace overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It includes two swimming pools and a private football field, in a striking contrast to his humble childhood, which he spent in a simple house, where he used to play football without shoes and with a primitive ball before becoming one of the richest and most famous players in the world.
