The Algerian media personality and commentator for the Qatari beIN SPORTS channels, Hafid Derradji, renewed his praise for the quality of the Moroccan stadium pitches hosting the 2025 African Cup of Nations.
Derradji said during his commentary on the match between the Cameroonian and South African national teams on Sunday evening, addressing the rainfall that the city of Rabat witnessed before, during, and after the match: "As if the rain is generated by artificial intelligence." Derradji added in his commentary: "When you see the pitch not affected at all by the rain, you say that what we are seeing in the image (the rainfall) is artificial intelligence." Derradji had previously, and uncharacteristically, praised the quality of the Moroccan stadium pitches hosting the African Cup of Nations, noting their lack of impact from the heavy rainfall that the Kingdom witnessed recently.
