HIBAPRESS – Chefchaouen
On the morning of Monday, January 5, 2026, the activities of the national blood donation campaign began at the headquarters of the Chefchaouen Governorate, as an initiative of the governorate in partnership with the Regional Blood Transfusion Center, in a humanitarian step aimed at supporting the regional reserve of this vital substance and consolidating the culture of volunteering and solidarity within the community.
This initiative recorded a remarkable participation from various administrative and institutional figures, where the governor of Chefchaouen took the initiative to donate blood at the beginning of the campaign, in a strong message that reflects the serious involvement of the regional authorities in supporting this vital health project, and motivating citizens to actively contribute to the success of this noble initiative. The campaign seeks to respond to the increasing needs of the blood supply, especially for emergency cases, patients with chronic diseases, and victims of traffic accidents, in addition to patients undergoing surgeries that require significant amounts of blood, as it is an essential and irreplaceable element. As part of expanding the scope of benefit and ensuring comprehensive coverage of the various regions of the province, mobile blood donation stations will be organized in a number of municipalities and centers, including Bab Taza, Bab Berd, Sthihat, and other areas, over a period of two months, allowing the participation of the largest possible number of citizens. This initiative falls within a national humanitarian appeal aimed at strengthening the values of citizenship and social solidarity, and consolidating awareness of the importance of blood donation as a voluntary act that directly contributes to saving lives and supporting the health system. At the end of the campaign, the organizers renewed their call to all citizens to intensively donate blood, stressing that every donation forms a new hope in life, and that wide participation is sufficient to ensure the continuity of this vital stock and serve patients in the region.
