The Federation stated in a statement published on its official website that “Despite this injury, Ounahi will continue to be with the national team to support his teammates during the remaining matches of the Africa Cup of Nations, within the framework of the spirit of solidarity and cohesion that characterizes the ranks of the national team”. On another note, the statement mentioned that the national team resumed its training in preparation for the match that will bring it together, next Friday, with the Cameroonian national team, in the quarter-final round of the Africa Cup of Nations, which Morocco is hosting until January 18. The same source explained that the national team players underwent a training session this morning, Monday, at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, which was dedicated to relieving fatigue. The technical staff of the national team worked during this training session to adapt it to suit the physical condition of each player, while ensuring to maintain physical readiness and mental focus in preparation for the Cameroon match.
