A Moroccan immigrant drowned in the waters of Lake Caldaro in northwestern Italy after “suffering a respiratory crisis that precipitated his death,” well-informed sources confirmed to Heba Press.

The same sources reported that the 29-year-old Moroccan, resident of the Alto Adige city, in the province of Novara, was bathing in the aforementioned lake with his friends, explaining that a Civil Protection patrol alerted the rescue forces who rushed to the scene, accompanied by a medical team, in order to provide the necessary care to a young man who was drowning.

The medical team of the mobile emergency forces tried to subject the deceased to cardiopulmonary resuscitation for about an hour in order to save his life, but in vain.

The Public Prosecutor ordered the transfer of the deceased’s body to a forensic center and an investigation was opened into the incident to determine the circumstances of his drowning.
