The number of violations handled by the judicial offices established in the stadiums hosting the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations reached a total of 152 violations, during the period from December 21st to January 6th.
According to data from the Public Prosecution, the number of offenders reached 128 of different nationalities who were prosecuted on the grounds of a group of criminal acts related to access to stadiums and others related to security and public order. The violation of entering or attempting to enter the stadium using fraud topped the list of criminal acts recorded with 61 cases, followed by the violation of selling match tickets at a price higher or lower than the specified price or without a permit (19 cases), then the violation of entering the pitch and violating illegal residence (10 cases each). During the mentioned period, violations related to forgery in a commercial document and its use (9 violations) were also recorded, as well as the ignition of artificial fireworks inside the stadium (8 violations), and throwing incendiary materials during a sporting event (four violations). The prosecutions also included violations related to violence, possession of hashish and drug consumption, entering a sporting event while intoxicated, possessing an access badge in the name of another person, public intoxication, and taking a picture of a person without their consent. It is noted that the judicial offices were inaugurated in the stadiums concerned with hosting the Africa Cup of Nations matches, foremost of which is Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, within the framework of establishing a new institutional mechanism to manage cases that may be presented to the Public Prosecution regarding violations that may occur on the occasion of the matches. This initiative aims to establish a modern and effective model for dealing with cases within sports spaces, by enabling representatives of the Public Prosecution, in coordination with the security services and the competent authorities, to intervene immediately to address any potential cases, in a way that ensures speed in taking action, with full respect for the rights of individuals and guarantees of a fair trial, and preserving order and security inside the stadiums, and reducing pressure on the courts.
