HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
Following the great success of the first solidarity campaign, which resulted in the collection of 450,000 dirhams within 24 hours for the benefit of the victims of the floods in the city of Safi, the community activist Saad Abed announced the launch of a new donation campaign aimed at collecting 20 million centimes to support the traders who lost their goods and sources of livelihood due to this natural disaster.
The first initiative received a wide response from citizens inside and outside Morocco, reflecting the spirit of solidarity and mutual support that characterizes Moroccan society, especially in times of crisis. The launch of this second campaign comes within the framework of completing humanitarian efforts and moving from the stage of emergency support to the stage of economically re-empowering the affected. In a statement, Saad Abed stressed that this initiative primarily aims to help small and medium-sized traders regain their commercial activity, saying that “the loss of goods means the cessation of the source of livelihood, and it is our duty to stand by them so that they can return to work with dignity.” He added that the campaign will be managed according to the principle of transparency, with aid being directed directly to the beneficiaries, calling on all benefactors and philanthropists to engage in this humanitarian initiative and contribute whatever is available to support the affected. These successive initiatives confirm that community solidarity remains a fundamental pillar in facing crises, and that the concerted efforts are capable of making a real difference in the lives of the affected.
