The town of "Callús" near Barcelona witnessed a dangerous assault targeting a Moroccan young woman and her mother, in a shocking incident that shook the Moroccan community and residents of the area, and sparked a wave of widespread concern and condemnation.
According to initial sources, the young woman and her mother were subjected to a violent attack by a person suspected of being the young woman's former fiancé. They were quickly transported to the hospital to receive the necessary first aid. Medical sources confirmed that the young woman's condition is very critical, and she is currently in the intensive care unit under close medical supervision. The Catalan police (Mossos d’Esquadra) announced the opening of an urgent investigation into the circumstances of the incident, and do not rule out any hypothesis at this stage, focusing suspicion on the victim's close circle, especially the former fiancé, pending the completion of investigations and the collection of evidence. The incident left a great shock in the circles of neighbors and members of the Moroccan community, who expressed their full solidarity with the two victims and their families, demanding that the truth be revealed as soon as possible and that the perpetrator be brought to justice. This painful incident brings to the forefront the issue of violence against women, and the need to strengthen protection and support mechanisms, especially in cases of separation or emotional disputes, where personal tensions can turn into human tragedies.
