In implementation of the high royal instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, aimed at caring for the health of citizens and ensuring the right to access health services, especially for the benefit of the population of areas affected by cold waves, the delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in the province of Midelt organized, yesterday, Thursday, January 08, 2025, a multidisciplinary medical caravan for the benefit of the population of the Taararart area and neighboring villages, within the framework of the Care Program 2025–2026.
This humanitarian initiative falls within the context of implementing the directives of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, which aim to bring health services closer to citizens, improve the quality of medical care, and alleviate the effects of the harsh cold wave that the region is experiencing during this time of year, along with the accompanying rainfall, snowfall, and a noticeable drop in temperatures. The regional delegation mobilized an important medical, nursing, administrative, and technical staff, who worked to provide comprehensive health services in appropriate conditions, where the staff included: Four (4) general practitioners; Two (2) pharmacists; Four (4) nurses; Five (5) administrative and technical staff. This medical caravan enabled the provision of medical consultations and necessary treatments for a total of 182 beneficiaries, including 75 children and 107 adults. Free medicines were also provided to all patients, which contributed to enhancing health care and alleviating the suffering of the population. This initiative was highly appreciated by the population of Taararart and the surrounding areas, given its importance in breaking isolation and bringing health services closer, especially in light of the difficult climatic conditions that the region is experiencing during the winter. The delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in the province of Midelt expressed its sincere thanks and gratitude to all the medical, nursing, administrative, and technical staff who contributed to the success of this medical caravan, and also commended the great efforts made by the regional and local authorities, as they played an essential role in the success of this noble humanitarian initiative, serving the health and safety of citizens.
